Kelly Poon: An achievement unlocked

Singaporean singer Kelly Poon, who is now based in Taiwan after her marriage to Taiwanese music producer Roger Yo, shares with LyfePortal her advice on love and her lesser-known skills. We can’t wait for Kelly to be back in Singapore to report on her much delayed wedding banquet on this sunny island. With her latest single “The last time” released in December last year, fans are certainly looking forward to more emotionally evocative ballads from Kelly. 1. What’s the craziest thing a fan has done for you?

During Project SuperStar days, KFC (Kellyfornia Fan Club) rented vans to follow my every event with my posters. I really appreciate their ‘stalking’ and support to the max! Their presence gave me a lot of confidence and love.

2. What would you say is the main difference between fans in Singapore versus Taiwan?

Although the same voltage of love but the magnitude of actions and words of affirmation is different. Taiwanese are mostly more affectionate and most friendly.

3. What’s the best love advice you have received or given?

The ones who get to break your heart? It’s only because you allow them to.

Move on is the best move.

4. What makes a successful singer or artiste?

The right attitude towards your team, goals and resolutions. The journey to success is as important as getting success in the end by acknowledgment from others. Alas, success is depending on how you look at your growth and not by judgment.

5. If you were not a singer or artiste, what would you be?

I would still be flying as a flight stewardess.

6. What is a hidden Kelly Poon talent or skill that many do not know?

Apparently from advice and comments, I just found out that I could maybe be an actress for real! It’s an achievement unlocked!
